A different view of Christmas

We are all familiar with the traditional Christmas Carols. But here are two that give us another point of view. The credit card bill collector about 4 months after Christmas.

Credit Wonderland by Ricky L. Phillips
(sung to the tune of "Winter Wonderland")

Phones ring
Are you listen'in?

Credit cards
How they glisten.

We're calling today
So please don't delay

Living in a credit wonderland

At the office we are calling cardmembers
They pretend that they are not around.

When a person answers we still ask for them.
But they just say that they are out of town.

Later on, with an arrangement
We will finally get a payment

They'll say that we've won.
It's a job well done.
Living in a credit wonderland.

Hear The Bells by Ricky L. Phillips
(sung to the tune of "Silver Bells")

First they're one month
Then they're two months
Then they're three months past due
and they're getting a late charge too.

Hear the bells
Hear the bells
We are calling for payments
ring-a-ling
hear them ring
I'm sure they'll pay us someday.

When they answer
they'll have reasons
Why they can't pay today
But we'll say calls will continue anyway

We'll keep calling
They'll keep stalling
Till they finally give in
and we'll take their payment with a grin

Hear the bells
Hear the bells
We are calling for payments
ring-a-ling
hear them ring
I'm sure they'll pay us someday Posted by Picasa
