There is a blooper in this part of the strip. In the strip up to this point Mumbles has been wearing a shirt unbuttoned at the collar. You can see it in the first strip on this page. In the last panel he is sitting on the window ledge getting ready to jump. However, in the color Sunday section he has not moved from the ledge but is now suddenly wearing a bow tie. Nice of Dick Locher to dress up Mumbles for his big scene.
