Forgotten Cereals

I just saw these on the net. See if you remember any of them. The only one that looks familiar to me is King Vitamin and Baron Von Redberry.

Yummy Mummy and Crazy Cow were two that I used to eat. It's funny to read these now and see how they promoted sugar and creamy chocolate filling in cereal, while now they're being forced to downplay those and make it as healthy as possible. No wonder kids don't care about breakfast anymore.

And don't get me started on the stupid "Free Racing Car" (with 7 proofs of purchase) "prizes" they put with the cereal now. Bring back the cheap plastic toys in every box! That's what made breakfast fun: the sugar high and free toys! :)

I remember seeing a commercial on TV for a cereal called Chocolate Covered Marshmallows. At the end they showed a bowel of it with milk, orange juice and eggs and bacon. Then the announcer would say "Chocolate Covered Marshmallows is part of this nutritious breakfast."
I thought "Yes it's the un-nutritious part of the meal." Can you believe they actually named the cereal Chocolate Covered Marshmallows?
