This has nothing to do with my writing but it is some fun for Halloween. The old TV show F-Troop with the episode V is for Vampire.

Video of the week. Me in a commercial
For those of you who visit this site I wanted to show you that I did a commercial. Now it isn't for any of my books. Hopefully that will come but for now I was an extra in this commercial. You see me in a close up at the very beginning and about 40 seconds into the commmercial I am way in the background laughing at a joke. In the close up I am suppose to be talking to some one but no one is there.

My commercial debut
Here is the commercial I am in as an extra. I am in a close up at the beginning talking to someone off camera and later you can see me at the same restaurant, suppose to be a different day, and I am way in the background talking to a woman at my table but you can't see her as the main actor's head is blocking her in the close up.

Saturday Morning Cartoons: The Thing in Lights, Camera Action
Well it's official. I was laid off yesterday for an undetermined amount of time.
In the meantime I just came across this cartoon on youtube.com. I never did watch the cartoon Fred and Barney meet the Thing but here is a segment of that show with the Thing as a teenager. It really kind of reminds me of the Archie gang. The voice of Ronald sounds like it was done by the guy who voiced Reggie Mantle on the Archie Show. When in the guise of the Thing the voice sounds like an impression of Jimmy Durante. I do have to give credit to the actor and the writers. As far as the character of the Thing it is one of the best transitions from comic book to TV screen I have ever seen of the character. They really got it right. Kind of odd to see a teenage version but it was enjoyable to watch.

In memory of my Dad
Years ago, about 1976, I found David Jones first album. I bought it and for the first time I heard this song. I called my Dad into my room and played it for him. Then I told him I played it for him because this was how I felt about him but didn't know how to tell him myself. Today is his birthday and he would have been 81 years old today.

Slap Happy Pappy
Here is a good example of a cartoon from the 1940's. Very funny spoofs of the celebrities from that time.
