The Banana Splits were sponsored by Kellogg's and their comic book adventures were published by Gold Key. This ad was in all Gold Key comics in 1969 as a way to judge how popular the group was with children.

Hadn't thought about the Banana Splits in years. They were one of my favs as a young child growing up in the late 60/early 70s. I was their demographic. I wonder if anyone specializes in Banana Splits ephemera. If so, I'd welcome the chance to feature items from their collection on my blog.
